The CDC lists diabetes as the 7th leading cause of death in the US but the general public don’t view diabetes as a killer disease. It does its damage too slowly.

I see patients with multiple chronic diseases every day. I do my best to help them with medication, testing, procedures etc… I find it heartbreaking that so much suffering could be alleviated with lifestyle changes. Truly heartbreaking. Simple changes. Better diet, regular exercise, stress management, improved sleep quality, etc…
