Welcome

My goal as a physician is to prevent or alleviate suffering. Current medical practice places great emphasis on alleviation but little on prevention. treating problems as they arise. Take a pill. Undergo surgery. Disease prevention by way of lifestyle changes if often only given lip service. In part, this is due to fact that lifestyle changes are hard. Popping a pill every morning isn’t too hard. Changing your diet or going to the gym regularly, on the other hand, requires effort and commitment.

I see patients with multiple chronic diseases every day. I do my best to help them with medication, testing, procedures etc… I find it heartbreaking that so much suffering could be alleviated with lifestyle changes. Truly heartbreaking. Simple changes. Better diet, regular exercise, stress management, improved sleep quality, etc…

What’s worse is that the standard nutritional recommendations we’ve been given for the past 50+ years are simply wrong.

I hope you’re here with serious interest in your health. I’d like to present my ideas on a healthy diet and other lifestyle interventions for people with chronic health problems.

The real truth about the ideal diet for health is not known, nor will it be. These recommendations are my best guess after considerable research.

Are you sick and tired of being sick and tired?

You’ll just have to “make a bet” about what constitutes a healthy diet. I’ve placed mine. Read on.
